Roshawnda Washington

Roshawnda obtained a Master of Social Work with a concentrated study in Community Organization, Planning and Administration from the University of Southern California. Working with nonprofit and community organizations following the completion of her degree, she has experience in program development, implementation and evaluation as well as building volunteer initiatives and programming as it pertains to community activism.

Currently Roshawnda works with Dow Chemical Company in the Delaware Valley as their Volunteer Program Manager. In this role she works closely with the Dow Foundation board to engage community and nonprofit organizations around the Delaware Valley and across the United States. Partnering Dow’s Global Citizenship initiative and ambitions with the needs of local communities where Dow calls home. She also serves as the representative for Dow on the Philadelphia Corporate Volunteer Council.

As an engaged community member she works with youth and women’s organizations throughout the region to promote STEM education through equity and inclusion, women’s empowerment and furthering conversation on youth engagement.
