This class will introduce both novice grant seekers and those with a little bit of experience to the progressive steps of the grant process, including proposal planning, researching grant opportunities, writing and submitting your grant, and building strong relationships with your funders.  Participants will learn how to determine which grant opportunities best match their organization’s programs, so they can focus their energy on preparing clear and compelling proposals that are most likely to succeed. Through discussion and group exercises, the class explores how to make your request stand out among multiple submissions to reviewers who may have little familiarity with your organization, ensuring that your proposal tells a persuasive story with all the information the funder needs to assess it. As you hone your grantsmanship skills, you’ll get valuable resources that will help you to maximize this potentially powerful stream in your fundraising mix.
