Effective leadership doesn’t happen by chance or accident; it comes from thoughtfulness, intention, effort, and more.  It is a journey, not a destination.  And while everyone loves to talk about their own or someone else’s “leadership style,” the reality is if you have just one style of leadership you will never be an effective leader.  Effective leaders have a toolbox filled with styles.

All leaders have a “kneejerk style of leadership.” Effective leaders, however, take it well beyond that.  This class is for current and future leaders who aspire to be the leader their organization deserves:  one who motivates, inspires, earns trust, and gets results. It will take you through a series of reflective exercises to help you understand what leadership is—and what it is not—and where you see yourself as a leader—or not.  It will provide a tour of different approaches to leadership to help you identify the tools you need in your successful leader’s toolbox.  Most of all, it will force you to think about what leadership means for you and your organization.
