Fundamentals of Successful Fundraising offers learners an engaging look at fundraising in today’s changing landscape. The course explores the key building blocks of a fundraising program, such as trends in philanthropy, donor motivations, your organization’s position in the fundraising marketplace, the role of the board, and developing fundraising plans. Participants will learn how to position their organizations for success with both individual donors and institutional funders like private foundations and corporations. By the end of the class, participants will understand how to manage and/or support their organization’s fundraising success.

    Allison Trimarco is the founder of Creative Capacity, which works with nonprofit organizations of all types to develop creative solutions to nonprofit management challenges. Her practice focuses on strategic planning, fundraising, community engagement, and volunteer development projects. Since 2002, she has helped nonprofits develop their management capacity to better serve their organization’s mission. Her clients work in every sector of the nonprofit field, but she has a special interest in working with arts and culture organizations, youth-serving groups, and women’s organizations.
