Were you among the many organizations who had to “postpone” your annual event? The event that traditionally brings in a significant chunk of your operating budget each year.  Were you, like many of us, thinking you could just wait until everything blew over and host it in the summer?  Perhaps even in the fall?  Now, realizing the unlikelihood of hosting that signature event before the end of 2020, is your anxiety rising as you worry about recouping the 30%, 45%, of your operating budget that seems to have disappeared along with the cancelled event?  Don’t panic; this class will tell what you need to do to plan for a successful Quarter Four push to end the year strong.

That is, after all, exactly what you need:  a plan for the last five or so months of 2020.  In this session you will learn that there is no Hail Mary, no magic wands, or silver bullet.  Instead, you’ll find success by doubling down on the good work you already do and making some minor pivots.  Refocusing your fundraising strategy to embrace tactics like loyalty cultivation, turning in-person cultivation events to virtual ones, and embracing true donor centricity by listening to your donors (instead of presuming you know what they are thinking). You may even consider a virtual auction that showcases the essentials of the organization up for bidding rather than the usual bling or timeshare.

Sharpening your communication content and frequency ensures that your key messages get out and remind supporters why they chose you in the first place clearly conveying your value proposition and how together, you make an impact. In this time of isolation, the only way many may feel connected is through their philanthropy.  Through this class, Tina Barber, who already has her plan in place, will share with you all you need to create a strategy to ensure your donors’ connection and their philanthropy stay focused on you so you can end the year strong.
