You can take a giant leap forward for free by joining The Nonprofit Center at the MemberPlus level, which entitles you to an approximately 2.5 hour on-site Best Practices in Board Governance presentation by one of our governance experts. This session gives insight into effectively performing the roles and responsibilities of board members, including legal liability, strategic planning, financial management, chief executive assessment and organizational performance evaluation. Any board committed to excellence, as well as those beginning a major undertaking such as strategic planning or a fundraising campaign, will be more effective as a result of this presentation.
"The Board raved about the program. They seem truly grateful for the guidance and kind of shocked that they have underplayed their roles for such a long time. We are at a tipping point to become a more sustainable organization and hopefully this training will be the push in the right direction."
-Kim Andrews, Executive Director, Friends of the Japanese House and Garden

“PECO has utilized
The Nonprofit Center’s BoardCorps leadership development program for four
years. They’ve done a wonderful job of working with PECO officers to prepare
them to be effective board members and to ask the right questions. The program
is so popular that we have created a “Board 201” for the “101” grads who want
to come back to discuss their current issues and challenges in their board
service.”
-Jeff Gordon, PECO Manager of Corporate Relations
